Delivery Policy

1. Delivery of Goods

Goods are considered delivered once they are made available to you at the delivery address, courier depot, branch, or delivery point agreed between you and MVA Spares.

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We will always make reasonable efforts to dispatch and deliver orders as quickly as possible, but delays may occur due to courier delays, stock movement, regional location, public holidays, or circumstances outside our control.

Our standard courier delivery time is usually 1–3 business days, depending on the delivery location and courier availability. This applies mainly to major city centres and main service areas.

2. Free Shipping

MVA Spares offers free shipping on qualifying orders over R2,000, subject to the item being within normal courier weight and size limits.

Free shipping generally applies to standard-sized parcels delivered to main city centres or standard courier delivery areas.

Free shipping does not automatically apply to overweight, oversized, bulky, or difficult-to-ship items, including but not limited to:

• Engines
• Gearboxes
• Bumpers
• Bonnets
• Grilles
• Large body panels
• Large headlights or fragile items requiring special packaging
• Other bulky or heavy automotive parts

Where an item is overweight, oversized, bulky, fragile, or located outside normal courier limits, the online sale may still go through automatically. In such cases, MVA Spares will contact the customer before dispatch to confirm and recalculate the correct courier cost.

Any additional courier charges for overweight, oversized, bulky, fragile, or remote-area deliveries will be for the buyer’s expense.

3. Remote and Regional Areas

Delivery charges shown at checkout are calculated for standard delivery areas where possible.

If the delivery address is in a regional, remote, rural, farm, plot, mine, game reserve, university, power station, national park, or outlying area, the courier cost may need to be recalculated after the order is placed.

In these cases, MVA Spares will contact the customer before dispatch to confirm any additional courier charges.

Additional delivery costs for regional or remote areas will be for the buyer’s expense.

To avoid extra charges, the customer may choose to collect the goods from the nearest courier depot, PostNet, or another agreed collection point, where available.

4. Express and Overnight Delivery

MVA Spares offers express, priority, or overnight delivery where available.

Express or overnight delivery is not included in standard or free shipping and will be charged separately at the buyer’s expense.

Overnight delivery is subject to courier availability and the delivery location. Delays may still occur due to circumstances outside the control of MVA Spares, including courier delays, weather, route issues, or operational delays.

MVA Spares cannot be held responsible for delays caused by the courier company once the goods have been collected from our premises.

5. Courier Delays

Delivery dates and times are estimates only.

Although we do our best to avoid delays, MVA Spares will not be liable for late delivery caused by courier delays, incorrect delivery details, customer unavailability, remote-area access issues, public holidays, strikes, weather, or other events outside our reasonable control.

If delivery is delayed by more than 30 days, the customer may request cancellation of the order, provided the goods have not already been delivered, collected, fitted, used, or specially ordered.

6. Delivery Address and Customer Availability

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a correct and complete delivery address, contact number, and any special delivery instructions when placing an order.

If the courier is unable to deliver due to incorrect details, customer unavailability, refusal to accept delivery, or access restrictions, any additional delivery, return, storage, or re-delivery fees will be for the buyer’s expense.

7. Inspection on Delivery

MVA Spares takes care when packaging and dispatching goods. However, once goods leave our premises and are handed to the courier, damage or delivery issues may occur during transit.

Customers must inspect the goods immediately upon delivery and before signing the courier waybill.

Please check:

• The parcel condition
• The quantity received
• Any visible damage
• Whether the item appears correct

Any visible damage must be recorded on the courier waybill before signing.

Damage, missing items, or incorrect items must be reported to MVA Spares in writing within 5 days of delivery. Failure to report issues within this period may result in delays or rejection of any claim.

8. Non-Delivery

If goods are not delivered within the expected delivery period, the customer must notify MVA Spares in writing within 5 days from the date the goods would normally have been expected to arrive.

Where non-delivery is confirmed, MVA Spares may, at its discretion:

• Replace the goods within a reasonable time
• Issue a credit note
• Refund the purchase price paid for the goods

9. Incorrect or Non-Compliant Goods

If goods delivered do not materially match the description of the goods ordered, the customer must notify MVA Spares in writing within 5 days of delivery.

Where applicable, the goods must be returned to MVA Spares in unused, unfitted, clean, complete, and resalable condition, with original packaging where possible.

Once inspected, MVA Spares may, at its discretion:

• Replace the goods
• Issue a credit note
• Refund the price paid for the goods

This does not apply where the customer ordered the incorrect part, supplied incorrect vehicle details, failed to confirm fitment, or fitted/used the goods before reporting the issue.

10. Instalment Deliveries

MVA Spares may, where necessary, deliver goods in separate parcels or instalments.

A delay or issue with one parcel does not automatically cancel the rest of the order or affect goods already delivered.

11. Failure to Accept Delivery

If the customer fails to accept delivery, collect goods, or make themselves available at the agreed delivery point, MVA Spares may cancel, suspend, or reschedule the delivery.

Any additional courier, storage, return, or re-delivery costs will be for the buyer’s expense.

12. Collection and Own Courier

Customers may arrange their own courier collection by prior agreement with MVA Spares.

Where the customer uses their own courier, MVA Spares is not responsible for courier delays, damage, loss, incorrect collection, or delivery issues once the goods are handed over.

No discount or compensation will be given where a customer uses their own courier on an order that qualified for free shipping.

13. Cross-Border Shipping

MVA Spares may assist with orders to neighbouring countries or other African countries where possible.

Cross-border courier arrangements, customs duties, taxes, import charges, documentation, and delivery costs are for the buyer’s expense unless otherwise agreed in writing.

MVA Spares does not deliver to areas affected by civil unrest, unsafe access, or courier restrictions.

14. Insurance

Courier insurance is not automatically included.

If insurance is required, the customer must request this before dispatch. Any insurance cost will be for the buyer’s expense.

If the customer declines insurance, MVA Spares will not be responsible for loss, theft, or damage once the goods are handed to the courier, except where required by law.

15. Unloading of Goods

For heavy or bulky items, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that suitable assistance, equipment, or space is available to unload the goods at the delivery address.

MVA Spares or the courier may inform the customer in advance if special unloading arrangements are required.

16. Storage

If the customer fails to collect or accept delivery of goods when they are ready, MVA Spares may store the goods or arrange third-party storage.

Any storage, handling, return, or re-delivery costs will be for the buyer’s expense.
